Every Flexabed is hand-built to order by craftsmen in LaFayette, Georgia, a tradition that began in 1969. This guide walks through all three models, with particular attention to the Hi-Low SL, the 3-motor fully electric bed that raises and lowers its entire frame at the touch of a button.
The model to know
Flexabed Hi-Low SL
Three independent motions, head, foot and full-bed height, all electric and all from one remote.
The Hi-Low SL is Flexabed's luxury alternative to a hospital bed. A regular adjustable bed raises your head and feet; the Hi-Low SL does that and also lifts or lowers the entire frame vertically, the feature that makes hospital beds so useful for getting in and out safely.
What you don't get is the clinical look. It takes a full-size home mattress in twin, full, queen or split king, so a couple can keep sleeping side by side. It's built for home healthcare and assisted living, and for anyone who wants solid back support while sitting up to read or watch television.
Low for sitting down and standing up. High for the person helping.
With the mattress on, the Hi-Low SL goes as low as 16.5 inches, close to a standard chair seat, so stepping in and out takes less effort and a fall from the bed is a shorter one. Press the button and the whole bed rises, putting the sleeper at a comfortable working height for a caregiver changing linens or helping with a transfer.
For a fixed starting height, Flexabed offers leg extensions from 2 to 7 inches in one-inch steps, and lower bed heights can be ordered as a custom option.

Headboards and footboards can't attach to the Hi-Low frame. A headboard can be mounted to the wall behind it as long as it doesn't block the bed's movement.
The height adjustment is as much for the caregiver as for the person in bed.
Bringing the mattress level with a wheelchair seat turns a lift-and-twist into a slide. Raising it spares a caregiver's back during bathing, dressing and repositioning. The frame is designed to work with patient lifts like a Hoyer.
Choose at the time of order. Both run all three motions.
Wired Hi-Low remote. Independent head and foot controls, full-bed height adjustment and a built-in flashlight. Simple and reliable.
Wireless Hi-Low remote. Everything on the wired remote, plus four programmable memory positions (M1 to M4). Hold a memory button for 5 to 7 seconds until the buttons flash to save a position. It also controls the optional features:
Optional features must be ordered with the bed. Their buttons appear on every wireless remote but stay inactive unless selected.
Hundreds of configurations. Every option Flexabed makes can be added.
The Premier adjusts head and foot with a whisper-quiet motor and adds optional dual-timed massage, with targeted support to ease strain on the back. It doesn't raise vertically like the Hi-Low, but it fits the most sizes and works with your existing headboard.

The same factory and the same warranty, with a simpler feature set.
Value Flex adjusts head and foot with one-touch wired controls and a quiet motor. It comes with an innerspring mattress in soft, medium or firm, and attaches to your existing headboard. Wireless features like massage, lighting and Bluetooth aren't offered on this model.

Only innerspring comes in three firmness levels; the foam, combo and latex constructions are made in one firmness. Every Flexabed mattress carries a limited lifetime warranty.

A king is two twins side by side, so one half can be a Hi-Low and the other a Premier or Value Flex. One partner gets the height adjustment; the other keeps the bed they prefer.
